New trailer, production stills, and theatrical release date for Barney's Version starring Rosamund Pike and Paul Giamatti

The new extended Canadian/international trailer for Rosamund Pike's new film, Barney's version, which she co-stars with Paul Giamatti (Sideways), Minnie Driver (The Phantom of the Opera, Good Will Hunting), Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight, New Moon), Scott Speedman (Felicity), and Dustin Hoffman is now online! It features heavily of Rosamund Pike too! Looks like she has a big supporting role here than in Made in Dagenham. Can't wait! This is definitely one of her new films I'm looking forward to seeing her more! Also, Sony Pictures Classics just released several production stills of the film with 4 stills featuring RP (plus 2 more from the Canadian BV website) and now has the Canadian theatrical release date for December 17th, 2010, UK Cinemas on January 7th, and a U.S. theatrical release date for January 14th, 2011!!!

Last September, BARNEY’S VERSION has won the Audience Award at the 58th San Sebastian Film Festival. 

BARNEY’S VERSION is also the winner of the “Leoncino d’Oro” Award from the Venice Film Festival where it premiered In Competition on Friday, September 10th. Previous winners of the San Sebastian Audience Award include PRECIOUS: BASED ON THE NOVEL “PUSH” BY SAPPHIRE (2009) and LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE (2006). 

BARNEY’S VERSION takes us through the many highs, and all too many lows of the long and colorful life of Barney Panofsky played by Academy Award Nominee, Paul Giamatti (Sideways, Cinderella Man). Barney’s candid confessional spans four decades and two continents, and includes three wives, one outrageous father and a charmingly dissolute best friend.

The film features an ensemble cast that includes two time Academy Award Winner Dustin Hoffman, Rosamund Pike (An Education, Pride & Prejudice), Academy Award Nominee Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting, Ella Enchanted), Rachelle Lefevre (New Moon, Twilight, Fugitive Pieces), Scott Speedman (The Strangers, Underworld) and Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek, National Treasure: Book of Secrets).
