Shivdasani was chosen as the Farex baby (brand of baby food) at the age of 14 months from the time it appeared in numerous television commercials. He made his debut in Bollywood as a child actor in India, M. (1987) and appearing in films such as Shahenshah, Chaalbaaz and Insaniyat.
Shivdasani continue to appear in commercials until the age of 19 when he was offered a role in mast director Ram Gopal Varma (1999), while still studying at HR College. He won the 2000 Zee Cine Best Man for his first performance.
After a break of almost two years, Shivdasani made a comeback with Vikram Bhatt Kasoor (2001) and Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karegar (2001). Shivdasani's films include Awara Paagal Deewana next (2002), Darna Mana You (2003), Hungama (2003), immediately (2004), Shukriya (2004), Koi Aap Sa (2005) and Jaane Kya Coast High (2006).
In 2009, appeared in Acid Factory Shivdasani. Later, he worked at AAO Want Kareinen, the first film produced by his production company, Rising Sun Entertainment. He helped co-write the screenplay and also played the main character, Mickey.
On August 14 and 15, 2010, attended the Grand Marshal Shivdasani Festival of India in Fremont, California.
Aftab has been added to the melting of Abbas-Mustan film, the players, which also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor.
