Celebrity Homes - Hollywood's Most Extravagant

By Julio Notter

Having the capability of buying the most luxurious possessions, some stars opt to take a more extravagant choice by spending millions or even billions for a house. One of our basic necessities is to have a shelter. For most Hollywood celebrities, they have the advantage of having a home quite overwhelming than being a basic need alone. Here is a list of some of the most extravagant celebrity homes that you would want to gaze at in awe.

Award-winning actress Halle Berry definitely has a house that comes with lavishness and class. The outdoor dining area and the stunning view in her garden with fountains and verandas gives the 4-bedroom house a cozy and warm feel. Moreover, it features a built-in spa and a swimming pool. It even has two fire pits that are unbelievably made of real volcanic lava.

Not as luxurious as it may look from the façade, Sandra Bullock's property in New Orléans is worth $2.25 million with an astounding land area of 6,615 square feet. The interior design of the house is antique-inspired. It's furnished with antique moldings and marble ledges. Other than this house, the actress has several homes in different parts of the country worth millions of dollars.

As seen a few times in the film Ocean's Twelve, George Clooney's Italian villa known as Villa Oleandra has an amazing outdoor theater and a huge swimming pool. The place is very peaceful making it the best venue for Clooney to meditate and write. In fact, he wrote the script for Leatherheads in the mansion.

One of the most prominent couple in Hollywood, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also owns an extravagant $40 million, 1.4-hectare manor in Long Island, New York. This property is only one of the many expensive mansions the couple owns. The Tudor style estate has 7 elegantly furnished master bedrooms and 18 astonishing bathrooms! Could you believe that? The tennis courts and swimming pools make the place suitable for an active lifestyle for the couple and their children.
Many Hollywood celebrities own million-dollar houses that come in different styles, theme and ambiance. Those in this list are just a few of the most famous celebrity homes. Oprah Winfrey, Madonna, Tom Cruise and other known personalities have their own share of luxurious houses you would definitely want to see. Should I be given an opportunity to get a sneak peek on such attractive and expensive houses, I would enthusiastically grab it with both hands. Who wouldn't anyway?

Get real closer to seeing the amazing houses featured in the article by knowing where these and other celebrity homes are located. Celebrity maps will help take you there easy and fast!

Sizzling Bollywood Item Numbers

By Suchi Goyal

In the moral landscape of Bollywood, the heroine has always been pure as a petal while the vamp was always naughty, immodest, somebody who drank and smoked; in short a self-willed but not necessarily a bad woman. That was a role immortalized by Helen. Bindu, Aruna Irani and Padma Khaana among others went on essay similar roles.

All that changed with the entry of Zeenat Aman and Praveen Babi-free-spirited woman who were on the right side of morality but saw no contradiction in smoking, drinking and flaunting their curvaceous body!

By the 80s and early 90s, it became fine for women to flaunt their bodies full on, express sexual desire for their lovers and celebrate their sexuality. What started with Sridevi became a rage with Madhuri Dixit. Somewhere around this time, the pre-eminence of a song to sell a film started catching on...

Madhuri's songs like "Dhak Dhak Karne Laga" and "Choli Ke Peeche" were such rages that people went to watch these songs rather than the films. These were the early days of a trend called item number...

This year has already seen a smashing "Munni Badman..." from Dabangg and we wait with bated breath for "Sheila Ki Jawani"...

Malaika Arora's Chaiyya Chaiyya (Dil Se - 1998)

When Mani Ratnam's Dil Se released, the movie though very lovingly made by Mani Ratnam on the issue of terrorism, didn't make a mark at the box office. It flopped badly... The only thing people seem to remember was song picturised on hot and sizzling Malaika Arora Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.

Malaika Arora Khan was the item piece here...

Urmila's Chamma Chamma (China Gate - 1998)

Those were the glorious days of the Rangeela girl... she had hit the marquee with a super duper hit, Rangeela. The movie in question was China Gate, some kind of curry Western that died even before it hit the screens. What remained was a happening number by Urmila Matondkar...

Shilpa Shetty's Main Aayi Hoon UP Bihar Lootne (Shool - 1999)

Shool was one of the Ram Gopal Varma protégé's film. Directed by E Niwas, the film was based on hard-hitting stories of corruption- and crime-ridden Bihar. The film went on to be a hit but helping it big time was a happening number by Shilpa Shetty.

Ash's Ishq Kamina (Shakti - 2002)

With mainstream actress doing an item number in a movie they didn't star in got going, it was only a matter of time, when other mainstream actresses would join in. The trend would soon re-christian itself and get popularity as "special appearances".

Aishwarya was among the first to set this trend on fire with a sizzling hot number "Ishq Kamina" with Shah Rukh Khan in a film called Shakti.

Red hot item it was...

Isha Koppikar's Khallas (Company - 2002)

In 2002, Ram Gopal Varma directed yet another thriller, Company. Again a certified hit with Ramu getting it spot-on with an underworld theme. The film gave a fillip to Vivek Oberoi's career but is better remembered for Isha Kopikkar's Khallas number sung with great gusto by the formidable Asha Bhosle.

Malaika Arora-Khan's Mahi Ve (Kaante - 2002)

Malaika Arora Khan in her many film glossy interviews has been quite open about the fact that she doesn't fit into the Hindi film heroine role and would rather stick to her career as a model. However, she also mentioned that she wasn't averse to doing such item numbers in films because she simply loved dancing.

So, the audience again saw her in a magnetic number...Mahi Ve in Kaante.

Mumaith Khan's Dekh Le (Munna Bhai MBBS - 2003)

We all will agree that the Munna Bhai series was a clincher. It was a winner all the way... but the makers of the film, it seems, weren't sure that the film will go on to become a cult classic though they certainly thought it was a good idea. So they too had an item number included though, one must say, it blended rather well with the overall tone of the film. The act was done by a small time actress, Mumaith Khan.

Yana Gupta's Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo (Dum - 2003)

Dum came a year after Company and was expected to keep Vivek Oberoi's career afloat. But the film flopped big time. What stayed back where memories of a song called Babuji...zaraa dheere chalo!

Aishwarya Rai's Kajra (Bunty aur Babli - 2005)

Ash girl did it again-this time with her husband-to-be and her father-to-law to be. The number was not just hot, it was comic too. And great fun to watch! It added a new dimension to item numbers.

Kareena Kapoor's It's Rocking (Kya Love Story Hai - 2007)

Sometime in 2007 Kareena Kapoor showed up in a fun song "It's Rocking". So cool was the song that people now barely recall the film starring her then boyfriend Shahid Kapoor and Ayesha Takia. This song also showcased some glimpses of the future Kareena, the size zero Kareena of Tashan!

Shilpa Shetty's Shut-up and Bounce Baby (Dostana)

Oops! The red hot Shilpa was at it again. This time in Karan Johar's supposed gay flick, Dostana. All the nation did was "shut-up-and-bounced"...

Kareena's Marjaani (Billu Barber - 2009)

By now, the special appearance act was complete and heroines now vied for the instant fame it assured and visibility it guaranteed.

Kareena shared the screen with king khan in Marjaani song from Billu Barber...

Deepika Padukone's Love Mera Hit Hit (Billu Barber - 2009)

Up and coming actress Deepika Padukone also featured in a special appearance in Billu Barber. The song did sit pretty on chart and was a smash hit. Naturally, it worked for Deepika though the film was a dud in the box office.

Finding New Horizons in Bollywood - Ajay Devgan

By Kevin Fernandez

Ajay Devgan, a two-time National award winner is one of the finest acting talents of Indian cinema. Born as Vishal Devgan, Ajay started off his film career with Phool Aur Kaante in an action-oriented role unlike many other actors of his time. He grew popular as an action hero with the first few films, which were huge successes at the box office, and gradually started experimenting with different genres. It was then he accepted the opportunity to act in Ishq, in a comedy role, opposite to Kajol. In addition to Ishq, the Ajay-Kajol pair can be seen in Pyar To Hona Hi Tha, one of the biggest success of the year 1998.

First National Award

It was in 1998 that he signed Zakhm, a film by Mahesh Bhatt, which fetched him the first National Film Award for Best Actor, in which he essayed a serious role. The 1992 riots in India was the backdrop of this film and he acted with Sonali Bendre, Pooja Bhatt and Nagarjuna. Following this achievement, Ajay Devgan worked with many noted filmmakers of Bollywood such as Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Mani Ratnam in Yuva and Ram Gopal Varma in Company and Bhoot, in the coming years.

Second National Award

As he continued experimenting with different roles, in the year 2002, Rajkumar Santhoshi signed him for the biopic, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, to essay the character of Bhagat Singh. With this critically acclaimed film, he received his second National Award for Best Actor along with the Filmfare Critics Award.

Other Movies

In a span of two decades, Ajay has acted in more than hundred films. Kaal and Khakee are two of the films in which he was seen in a negative character, for which he got nominated in the Best Villain Award category. His performance was also acclaimed in many movies - Yuva, Golmaal, and Raincoat being a few of them. Raincoat was an off-beat film, acted along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Omkara, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge, Gangaajal, Rajneeti, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai and Zameen are Ajay's other critically acclaimed films.

As Producer and Director

In the year 2000, he committed only two films - Deewane and Raju Chacha, of which the latter saw him as a producer. Although the film did not perform well, it featured the off-screen couple of Ajay and Kajol once again. Exploring the new realms of Bollywood, he wore the director's hat for the first time with U, Me Aur Hum (2008), which he also produced and acted in. Third production was in 2009 with the film All The Best: The Fun Begins. Ajay Devgan can be seen in action in the upcoming film Singham, Tezz and Power.

Kangana Ranaut's Change of Track

By Kevin Fernandez

When director Anurag Basu spotted the 18-yr old Kangana Ranaut with her unusually curly hair at a Mumbai café, he would scarcely have believed that she would carve a niche for herself in the industry. The actress had previously been working as a model in Delhi and later shifted to working in the theatre. The moment Anurag Basu chose her as the female lead in 'Gangster,' her rise to stardom had begun.

She received rave reviews for her performance in her debut, including winning a Filmfare Award for the Best Debutante. From then on, offers have kept coming her way. She later followed it up with 'Woh Lamhe' and was signed again by Basu for 'Life in A Metro' which was again successful and her performance was acclaimed. This was followed with a string of hits like 'Fashion', 'Raaz- the Mystery Continues' and 'Tanu Weds Manu' which established her popularity as a bankable actress.

In a career that has spanned 5 years and more than 12 films, Kangana has experimented with a wide variety of roles, ranging from troubled characters in films like 'Gangster', 'Woh Lamhe' and 'Fashion', to characters like the stubborn and strong-willed girl in 'Tanu weds Manu' and an investigative officer in the recently released 'Game.' And upcoming releases will see her in even more varied roles as a lighthearted New Yorker in 'Happy New Year,' in an action role in Priyadarsan's 'Tez' and a doctor in Ram Gopal Varma's 'Department.'

Over the years, Kangana has earned a reputation as being a hardworking and versatile actress among many people in the industry. Mani Shankar described how she would do umpteen rehearsals before a take. Anand L Rai, who worked with Kangana in 'Tanu weds Manu', remarked that she had a childlike enthusiasm towards her work. Amod Mehra, the trade analyst, remarked that Kangana has matured a great deal as an actress and has sharpened her skills in portraying characters effectively. Her place in tinsel town has been given a boost with the success of the recently released 'Tanu weds Manu.'

As is usual with celebrity life, Kangana Ranaut has also had her share of controversies. She once turned up at a party hosted by Salman Khan in Bangkok uninvited and was rumoured that she was constantly trying to create friction between Amisha Patel, who is a good friend of the Dutts, so that she can get closer to them. More recently, she was reported for put down down conditions for donning a bikini in David Dhawan's 'Rascals'. For the last one, she retorted saying that the director never approached her to wear a bikini.

Dilip Kumar Versus Amitabh Bachchan Versus Shah Rukh Khan

By Chirag Naiknavare

This seems like a more reasonable comparison right? All three were number one actors and also the most intense actors of their generations. I thought for a long time before making this comparison, as I do not want to be partial to anyone because I belonged to his generation. Nevertheless, here is a comparison I have wanted to present since my college days.

Everyone will agree that Dilip Kumar was the most gifted actor out of the three. Despite being intense he also believed in delivering controlled performances. He began acting in films in 1944 and his career spanned a period of five decades. He acted in more than 60 films and still holds the record for maximum Filmfare Best Actor Awards with Shah Rukh with 8 wins. Few people from today's generation know that he was a versatile actor and, in addition to doing intense and serious roles that literally made him, like Mughal-E-Azam and Devdas, he also acted successfully in comedies and action films like Aan, Azaad and Ram Aur Sham. Dilip-Saab as he was popularly known rarely saw Box Office failure in his illustrious career. I would be surprised if anyone has a better Box Office record in terms of percentage of hits than him. May be Amir Khan does, but I am sure no one else does. The earlier films that established him as the proverbial tragedy king were Deedar, Amar, Andaz, Madhumati and Devdas. He also produced Ganga Jamna in 1961 and that remains his only production. David Lean, the famous British director offered him a role in the classic "Lawrence of Arabia" but Dilip Kumar declined it.

What's more, absolutely no one has as good a record as Dilip Kumar in the roles of elderly characters. In Bollywood, where the film-life of an actor gradually declines as he grows older, Dilip Kumar continued serving up smash hits in his sixties such as Kranti, Shakti, Vidhata, Karma, Saudagar and Mashal. Dilip Kumar achieved several accolades including the Dadasaheb Phalke award in 1994 and Pakistan's highest civilian felicitation, Nishan-E-Pakistan. He also received Padma Bhushan in 1997 and was the Mumbai Sheriff in 1980. In addition to winning the Filmfare Best Actor Award 8 times, he also received 19 nominations.

Although he has played several brilliant roles, my personal favorite remains Shakti, where as a principled father, struggling to keep his son in line, he delivered a dazzling performance and overshadowed his only serious competition - the greatest superstar of all time, Amitabh Bachchan in the role of his son. Although his role was meant to dominate Amitabh's, he delivered a convincing performance like no other.

Shah Rukh Khan is the latest megastar carrying forward the torch of intense acting. He began his career on Television and made a brilliant film debut in a short, supporting role in Deewana. Shah Rukh has released many commercial hits in his time and, very deservingly, is called the King Khan. Some of his blockbusters such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dilwale Dulhaniya and Le Jayenge have made record business at the Box Office. Several of his films did huge business overseas, thereby making him one of the greatest Bollywood actors of all time.

After the superb debut in Deewana he went on to make small budget films until he scored the first of his several massive hits in Baazigar. His antihero in the film displayed his capacity to play villainous roles. This ability landed him another couple of roles which were huge hits, viz Darr and Anzaam. He also played a sensitive role in a small film called Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. Facing the nightmare of the possibility of getting typecast as a villain, he went on to deliver another hit as a conventional hero in Karan Arjun. All throughout his career he had to face competition from two other Khans- viz Salman Khan and the more serious competition of Aamir Khan. Despite having had several hits, it was in the late nineties that he finally established himself as the King of Bollywood. A plethora of hits were to follow, like Yes Boss, Dil To Pagal Hai, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. In the year 2002 he acted in the remake of the Dilip Kumar classic Devdas which earned him another Filmfare award for Best Actor. Later he also remade the Amitabh Bachchan classic Don. His last huge hit was My Name is Khan which earned him his 8th Filmfare Best Actor Award. Despite upcoming challenges from younger actors he remains the King of Bollywood.

Personally I liked the small budget films he did with Aziz Mirza such as Yes Boss and Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and I think his best performance to date remains Chak De. As a tarnished Muslim Indian hockey player, he put his life into the role and delivered a brilliant performance that won the hearts of everyone. The film won many awards and was a huge commercial success. Notably he did a couple of films with Amitabh Bachchan like Mohabbatein and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam which did not really spark any fires although the films did well at the Box Office. Well, some sparks in Mohabbatein but nothing like the Amitabh-Dilip Kumar comparison.

Shah Rukh also produced several films out of which Main Hoon Na and Chalte Chalte were highly successful. Although you would associate him more with commercial success, he did get honored with Padma Shri in 2005. He also hosted the popular TV show Kaun Banega Karodpati following Amitabh Bachchan.

The biggest superstar of them all was the great Amitabh Bachchan. He was a force in Hindi films like no other. His angry young man films in the seventies are classics and people still watch them with awe. I have never seen any actor in Indian cinema having a screen presence as mesmerizing as Amitabh Bachchan. You couldn't take your eyes off him. Who can forget those burning and unbelievably focused eyes and the resonant voice? I am not going to waste time in reciting his achievements here. Everyone knows them. An actor with an unbelievable range and ability to play all kind of roles with authority made him an icon that no one could compete with in the seventies. He has played all kinds of roles and won all kinds of awards but his biggest achievement remains his dominance of the Indian Film Industry in the seventies. He was called "One Man Industry" at that time and no one was able to stand up to him. It was unprecedented and will probably never be achieved again. Those revenge films from the seventies still give me goose bumps. What we are watching today is a much more mellowed person and actor although that fire and brilliance can be seen occasionally in films like Sarkar.

The objective of this article is not to show that other actors did not come close to these three. In fact several actors did, like Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Ashok Kumar, K L Saigal, Rajesh Khanna, Aamir Khan etc. But the best and most successful, intense actors are these three. My verdict, at the risk of being corny, is Dilip Kumar. The thespian was and is still the greatest actor of them all, with Amitabh Bachchan a close second.

Fashion Tees- T Shirt Trends

Quotes about Fashion Tees:Nothing to takes the taste out of peanut butter quite like unrequited love” ~ Charlie Brown.

I love this shirt fashion, especially the idea of adding some realism fashion to a cartoon character and also some faces design. Something along the same lines was doing the rounds on the Net a few years ago, it was a hand drawing of the kids from South Park as real kids and not imagined characters.

August Nails Art Fashion Design

The August 2011 nail Fashion design depends on your status. In case you are a student or an intern it is advisable to have straightforward nail polish. You require to not put up an picture that is not suited to your character in particular in case you will go to school or to your office. You can ask the specialist beautician of your favorite salon about the nail designs suited for you. Tell them about your age, profession or status so that they can give you the correct assistance. Check out the professionals on the net given that your online nail salon will be so happy to assist you in your beauty issues.

Nails are getting the glare of publicity as of late. Don’t get me wrong, females have been getting their nails completed for years, but recently nail color & nail art have become an essential part of fashion.

Kareena Kapoor Diet Plan - How to Lose Weight No Matter How Busy You Get

By Ryan M Hall

Kareena Kapoor

There seems to be a lot of buzz lately about actress

Kareena Kapoor's

diet plan. Here are a few things that she is doing, and some things you can do.

First of all, you need to take some good supplements. Not just over the counter crap that is full of fillers and low grade ingredients, you have to have the real deal. That is a cornerstone to her diet and any healthy person's weight management plan.

Second, if you are on the run, like

Kareena

often is, you need to find places to dine that offer healthy choices, not fast food healthy, I mean actual healthy. You know, the food with real ingredients and spices and fruits and vegetables. These kinds of places aren't hard to find once you look, you can even make the right choices at places like Applebee's. It's a matter of looking for it and then choosing it over that big tasty burger.

Third, you should focus on reducing your unhealthy carbs and eating more healthy carbs and fats. If you don't know the difference, get a good plan that will show you how to eat healthy wherever you go.

Finally, the biggest part of her diet plan...starting the day out with at least two glasses of water with lime in them.
