In ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol,’ the IMF team is strategically situated around Red Square to execute their mission, when an explosion suddenly rocks the Kremlin. The leader of the IMF team, ‘Ethan Hunt’ (Tom Cruise), is informed that the Russians believe the incident is “an undeclared act of war” and the U.S. President has initiated “Ghost Protocol.” Blamed for the bombing in Moscow and disavowed by the President, the surviving members of the team, ‘Ethan,’ ‘Brandt’ (Jeremy Renner), ‘Benji Dunn’ (Simon Pegg) and ‘Jane Carter’ (Paula Patton) operate off the grid to uncover the truth.
