Movie News: Donald Sutherland joins 'The Hunger Games' film

Deadline reports that Donald Sutherland joined the big cast of big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games based on Suzanne Collins novels.

Donald Sutherland Joins 'The Hunger Games'

Lionsgate has set Donald Sutherland to play the role of President Snow in The Hunger Games, the trilogy that will be directed by Gary Ross based on the Suzanne Collins novels. Snow is the autocratic ruler of Panem who uses the violent Hunger Games as a way to maintain control. Jennifer Lawrence plays heroine Katniss Everdeen. Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Toby Jones, Lenny Kravitz, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Wes Bentley and Elizabeth Banks are also in the cast.

Lionsgate will release “The Hunger Games” on March 23, 2012.

Красное с белым - это, пожалуй, самое праздничное сочетание. А горох и клетка - это так уютно.
Вот и получилась у меня празднично-уютная сумка. И опять в комплект к сногсшибательным туфлям. А этот бант на туфельке ! Как он прекрасен ! Не удержалась я и добавила к сумке подобный бантик. Жалко, что у меня не нашлось нужного количектва красной ткани в мелкий белый горошек.(((  По фасону сумка предельно простая, почти квадратная. Внутри два кармашка.
Центральная часть сшита из небольших квадратиков. Для декора использовала репсовые ленты и вьюнчик.
Вообще, у этой сумки есть три варианта носки.
1. Со съемным бантом, который можно цеплять куда угодно.

2. С завязками-ягодками. В первом варианте они прячутся внутрь сумки.



3. С ягодкой-подвеской. Ее тоже можно отвязать или спрятать внутрь.
Ягодка мне досталась от Ани(Ветерок). Она сделана из очень толстого фетра.

Four years ago today (May 29th), I started this blog as just an archived for P&P movie news and articles...and now 4 years later, this blog has expanded to a much bigger and frequently updated blog with all things Pride & Prejudice (esp. the 2005 film and its actors/cast and their film projects' news and more) and Jane Austen related news/articles/movies (ie. Becoming Jane, The Jane Austen Book Club, Lost In Austen, Aisha, From Prada to Nada, A Modern Pride and Prejudice, etc.). I must say, It's been a lot of fun blogging all bout all things P&P here for the past 3 years. Just noticed today that it's been 4 years already since I started this. I guess, time flies when you're having so much fun, lol.

Birthday girl Carey Mulligan is currently seen in the off-broadway Through A Glass Darkly, which started previews last May 13th. It will officially open Monday, June 6th; and play a limited engagement through Sunday, July 3rd Off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop.

“That was Carey´s first crying scene ever. This was her first film. And she cried very hard on the first take and less on the second and even less on the third and she´d cried herself out. Now her hard work has paid off and after a spell working in a pub worrying she might never make it as an actress, she got her big break.

Carey said: "I was on the train going to work when I got the call saying I had the part. I had to go and work at the pub that evening - I was pulling pints with a massive grin on my face."

Although she admits she was terrified when they first started filming, at Groombridge Place in Kent, she soon took to it like a duck to water.

Carey said: "We were like one big family. We took over the house. It was so much fun. Brenda Blethyn (Mrs Bennett) mummied us all - when we had days off she took us on day trips to a llama farm."

In less than 6 years, Miss Mulligan has appeared in various TV and Film roles, check out the various roles she had played from her first role Kitty Bennet (in Pride & Prejudice) to her breakout role of the school girl Jenny, that garnered her an Oscar nomination for a Best Actress for An Education.

FYI: She has co-starred twice with her good friends and former Pride & Prejudice co-stars/eldest Bennet sisters: Keira Knightley (Never Let Me Go) and Rosamund Pike (An Education).

Практичные штаны. Двэ штука.

И снова нужда вынудила меня шить Соне шатаны. Погода стоит дождливая, прохладная. Стирку поставить поленилась и оказалось, что в садик ей пойти не в чем.))) Достала старые журнальчики Бурда, пару отрезов микровельвета, купленные уже давненько, нашла подходящую выкройку и пошло-поехало. У выкройки использовала только верх. Низ меняла по своему усмотрению. В первых штанах штанины заузила. Лампасы, нашивка, несколько пуговиц,  репсовые ленты и незатейливый декор готов. Так как нет ни карманов, ни застежки, штанишки сшились очень быстро. Пояс трикотажный. Адушка, твои звездочки пошли в ход.))))

У вторых штанов сделала отрезные штанины. Нижняя часть фонариком. Как-то увидела на улице на одной девчушке такую модель и запомнила. На место поперечных швов пришила кружево и репсовую ленту. Пояс тоже трикотажный, а ниже легкий декор - бантик из  ленты, кружева и пуговицы и висюльки на шнуре. Аня ( Ветерок ) , узнаёшь часть своей "конфетки" ?



Ткань, сразу как купила, замачивала в горячей воде. Поэтому ,надеюсь, что больше не сядет.
С предыдущими розовыми штанами пролетела. Они после стирки сели и стали маловаты.
Соня осталась штанами довольна. А она у меня жутко привередливая. Часть гардероба лежит, забракованная Соней, и не носится.((((  И претензии у неё не к внешнему виду, а к комфорту. Чуть где-то, что-то не так, уже отказывается надевать. Прынцесса, короче.))))
