Angelina Jolie is one of the most popular American Actress. She is considered as the highest paid actress in the World.
Jolie was born on June 4 1975 in Los Angeles, California. His father Jon Voight is also an actor. Her brother James Heaven is also an actor. She started her carrier with Cyborg 2 (1993) which was no more than just a disappointment. Jolie then appeared in an independent film Without Evidence (1995). She actually rose to fame after winning a Golden Globe Award for her performance in TNT’s George Wallace (1997). Her portrayal of supermodel “Gia Carangi” in HBO’s Gia (1998) won her a lot of critical acclaim and led her to win her second Golden Globe Award. She won another Golden Globe for Girl Interrupted (1999) and an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
In 2001 she was cast down in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, an adaptation of popular game Tomb Raider. The film achieved huge box office collections and Jolie was praised a lot. At that time she went on to recognized by the audience as the new female action star. Post that film Jolie gave a number of memorable films like The Cradle of Life, Mr & Mrs Smith, A Mighty Heart, Wanted, Salt and Changeling. The later earned her a nomination for Academy Award for Best Actress. Following her successful films, Jolie has established her self as one of the most wanted stars in the World and also one of the most followed celebrities. Currently she is dating actor Brad Pitt and the couple is grabbing the eye balls of every one all over the World.
