Plus Golden Globe Reactions (via Awards Daily)

“I was very pleased to learn that my ‘Sigmund Freud’ was nominated today to be part of the Golden Globes ceremony. It would have made me even happier if our director, David Cronenberg, and the remarkable performance by Keira Knightley also had been invited to the party, but I will be extremely proud to represent “A DANGEROUS METHOD”. Fortunately our fine ‘Carl Jung’, Michael Fassbender, was nominated for his work in “Shame”. David made a risky choice when he cast me to play Dr. Freud, and I’m glad that his instincts have paid off in the eyes of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.” – Viggo Mortensen

“To be recognised for portraying one of the greatest actors of our time is truly an honour, and I am incredibly thankful to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for their continued support of our film. Working alongside Michelle was an extremely rewarding experience, and I’m thrilled that both she and our excellent team of filmmakers have also been recognised for their incredible work. I feel very blessed to be nominated for a role that is so close to my heart.” KENNETH BRANAGH, My Week With Marilyn, Best Supporting Actor Nominee

In Theaters Today: My Week with Marilyn

Opening in limited release in theaters today is Judi Dench's other new film this year titled My Week With Marilyn starring Michelle Williams (as Marilyn Monroe) and Judi Dench as Dame Sybil Thorndike. It'll expand in more screens soon after. Go see it!

My Week with Marilyn centers on Colin Clark, an employee of Sir Laurence Olivier‘s, who documented the tense interaction between Olivier and Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Williams) during production of “The Prince and the Showgirl” during the late 1950s. Co-starring Eddie Redmayne, who plays Colin Clark, and Kenneth Branagh who plays Olivier, the picture also stars Dougray Scott, Julia Ormond, Derek Jacobi, Dominic Cooper, Toby Jones and Emma Watson.

In addition to and besides Judi Dench, two other Pride & Prejudice actors are in this film, Pip Torrens (as Sir Kenneth Clark) and
Peter Wight (as Lucy's father). Pip Torrens played the Netherfield Butler and Peter Wight as Mr. Gardiner in P&P movie.

    Other P&P Actors: Must-See TV & Films 2011/2012

You might not remember the names of these other supporting Pride & Prejudice actors, but you probably remember their faces when you see them on-screen or keep thinking to yourself, he or she looks familiar, where have I seen him/her before? Of course, if you're really curious, you will google or check out IMDB for the cast credits to see which movie you've seen them before. I've done that a lot when I see a movie (old or new) and often found a lot of these other P&P actors (even the main supporting P&P actors have been seen in other films that I didn't recognize or remember seeing them until I checked their IMDB filmography). These other P&P actors have done more TV and film work post-P&P and a few of them have appeared in some very recognizable and well-known films recently. I've compiled and listed them below. You'll be surprised to know that they've also appeared in some films the main P&P actors have appeared as well. Recent films (albeit in small or cameo roles) like Jane Eyre (2011), Johnny English Reborn and My Week with Marilyn to name a few and other TV and films like Atonement, Robin Hood (2010), Little Dorrit, Doctor Who, Larkrise to Candleford, Persuasion (2007), and  Spooks/MI-5. Others even appeared in familiar film titles in the past like The Holiday, Babel, Love Actually, and Gosford Park to name a few. Plus a new TV miniseries that recent multiple award winner, Downtown Abbey creator and writer Jullian Fellows is working on, Titanic (2012) and Steven Spielberg's new film War Horse. Scroll all the way down below to see/read which two P&P actors are both appearing in this week's limited release of My Week With Marilyn with Michelle Williams and Judi Dench and individually in the upcoming Titanic (2012) miniseries and Spielberg's War Horse film, which will be released on Christmas Day.

See the main (and supporting) P&P cast's Must-See Films for 2011 for P&P Actors as I've previously posted last January.

By the way, one of these other actors is slightly more familiar than the others as she had played one of the main P&P characters' little sister (so she's easily recognized and remembered than the others) and she had previously appeared/co-starred in a few recent well-known TV series and film like Showtimes' The Tudors (with Jonathan Rhys-Meyer and Henry Cavill) and the new Jane Eyre (with Judi Dench and Michael Fassbender). I've even posted about her here more than a few times, of course. Still, she's still not quite well-known as her other P&P co-stars in the main supporting cast (ie. Carey Mulligan and Talulah Riley). So, I thought I'd include her here and refresh your memory of her. You may remember and have seen...

The first trailer for Judi Dench's other new film this year titled My Week With Marilyn starring Michelle Williams (as Marilyn Monroe) and Judi Dench as Dame Sybil Thorndike has just been released (via Yahoo! Movies) Wednesday. The film opens in limited theatrical release November 4th and will expand soon after.
