Movie Casting News: Tom Hollander joins Ralph Fiennes' Charles Dickens Love Story 'The Invisible Woman'

According to the Daily Mail and Empire, Tom Hollander has joined the cast of The Invisible Woman starring Ralph Fiennes (who's directing it as well), Felicity Jones, and Kristin Scott Thomas. Production of the film is set to start in April.

Here's the brief mention via Daily Mail...

Tom Hollander who stars in the BBC TV comedy Rev. He will portray novelist Wilkie Collins in The Invisible Woman, a film about Charles Dickens’s affair with Nelly Ternan. Ralph Fiennes plays Dickens (and also directs); Felicity Jones will tackle the role of Ternan; and Kristin Scott Thomas is Dickens’s wife, Catherine.

Movie Casting News: Tom Hollander joins Johnny Lee Miller, Gemma Arterton, and Saoirse Ronan in ''Byzantium' film

According to Collider, Tom Hollander (Hanna), Jonny Lee Miller (Dexter), and Sam Riley (Control) have joined Saoirse Ronan (Hanna) and Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia) in Neil Jordan (Interview with the Vampire)‘s vampire movie Byzantium.

Ronanand Arterton play a daughter and mother who are vampires who arrive ina small 18th century British town.  Ronan’s character begins arelationship with a young man (Caleb Landry Jones) who’s dying of leukemia, which in turn forces him to struggle with his mortality and her to question her immortality.

Daily Mail (who first reported this with the Gemma Arterton interview/article) doesn’t have any details on which character Tom will play, but has mentioned him in the cast:

The film — set in both the 18th centuryand the modern day — is not all glossy surface nonsense like theTwilight pictures. For starters, it has a compelling storyline and muchbetter actors, including Sam Riley, Daniel Mays, Jonny Lee Miller andTom Hollander.

Great to know that TH has a new film (other than his current TV series, Rev.) coming soon. Also, he's co-starring here with two other Austen Actors, Gemma Arterton (Lost in Austen; St. Trinians I and II films with Talulah Riley and Colin Firth, and The Little Dog Laughed stage play with Rupert Friend), and Johnny Lee Miller (Mansfield Park '99, Emma '09) and one of the fequent co-stars of P&P 05 Actors, Saoirse Ronan (Atonement, Hanna).

On TV Tonight: Watch the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards

While UK Fans are lucky to be seeing the Season 2 premiere of Downton Abbey tonight on ITV as well as its competition Spooks (aka MI-5 in the U.S., which our Matthew Macfadyen was an original cast member along with his real-life wife, actress Keeley Hawes at the first few seasons of the long-running British spy drama series before he was cast in Pride & Prejudice) with the premiere of the first episode (of six) of its 10th and final season on BBC. Well, here in the U.S., The 63rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards is on tonight starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Fox with host Jane Lynch aka Glee's (Sue Sylvester). Frequent co-stars of P&P (2005) Actors

 

What do all of these familiar faces and famous Hollywood/International/A-list actors all have in common? Well, other than them being rich, famous, and talented actors, of course. DVD News: Joe Wright's 'Hanna' film coming to DVD and Blu-ray September 6th!

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has just announced the DVD and Blu-ray disc release date of September 6th for 's recent theatrical released, action/suspense thriller film, Hanna starring an outstanding and talented cast in Saoirse Ronan (leading the cast in the title role) with Eric Bana, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hollander, and Olivia Williams. The film, according to Box office Mojo, did very well and debuted at #2 in the U.S. domestic's box office grossing $12 million (JW's biggest opening weekend!) during the Easter weekend (with an estimated $30 million budget) and now a total domestic gross of $40+ million (over 2 million more than P&P movie's total domestic gross, which was $38.4 million, but that's because it started off as a limited release while Hanna was already in wide release) with an additional $18.2+ million foreign box office gross and a worldwide total gross of $58.7+ million in its 13 weeks theaters run.

On September 6th, Universal Studios Home Entertainment will release Hanna on DVD and Blu-ray Disc. Downton Abbey, The Pillars of the Earth, and Any Human Heart nominated for 2011's Primetime Emmy Awards

The 63rd Primetime Emmy Nominations has just been announced today and the following period dramas/miniseries (starring a few of our favorite P&P actors) are nominated such as Downton Abbey (Penelope Wilton) with 11 nominations, The Pillars of the Earth (Matthew Macfadyen and Donald Sutherland) with 7, and Any Human Heart (Matthew Macfadyen and Tom Hollander) with 4 nominations. Tom Hollander teases 'Rev.' series two

Tom Hollander has dropped hints about what fans can expect in the second series of Rev.

The show, which won 'Best Situation Comedy' at last night's Philips British Academy Television Awards, was officially renewed last month.

Speaking to Digital Spy on the BAFTA red carpet, Hollander explained that the new episodes will feature "more trials and tribulations" for Adam.

"Just ups and downs," he continued. "But also all the other characters you get to know much better. [There are] marvellous things for the archdeacon and for Nigel. You get to know Nigel much better. You get to know Alex better. And Colin, of course. You just go further into the world."

Hollander also revealed that he was "excited" but "bemused" to learn that the Archbishop of Canterbury is a fan of the show.

"We're very thrilled," he said. "And slightly embarrassed because we're not God Squad particularly, although we're becoming a bit more God Squad for some reason."

I've been looking forward to it since their engagement last November...I'm so ready!) and so does most people around the world! Lucky Brits, they're on national holiday!
