Good Morning, World

.

(click to embiggen) The best part of waking up is (Tatum in your cup?) finally getting a look at all Channing Tatum gave up in The Vow without having to go and, you know, watch The Vow. (via) Hello, bum! There's more after the jump.

Haywire Will Be Out On May 1st

So you won't have any excuses for not seeing it after that. Go here and buy it! I don't get why it did so poorly, box office wise - you may recall that I enjoyed the hell out of it (here's my review) so even besides all that hot Fassy towel action I say there's other wonders to behold. Channing and Ewan and Soderbergh's super style, all that jazz. And Carano might've been wet behind the ears acting-wise but Soderbergh utilized her well, I thought.

Oh and I swiped these gifs straight from the ever-awesome Simone at Fassinating Fassbender, but how could I not? She understands.

You Wouldn't Know It From This Place...

.

... but there are things going on in the world that don't have anything to do with the shape of a man's buttocks today. No silly person I don't mean war or presidential elections or anything like that - I mean there are a few movies coming out into movie theaters. Important stuff! Somehow I dragged my brain away from beefcake long enough to write up my weekly piece at Celebrity Beehive on today's new releases, including the new Channing Tatum joint. Hee, I like that phrase, I will heretofore refer to all Channing Tatum movies in such a manner. You guys can tell I'm getting delirious right? I am so out of it right now.

Quote of the Day II

.
Photobucket

It's raining coincidences today! Earlier I found a reason to post about Joan Allen when I'd just been thinking about how I needed a reason to post on Joan Allen, and now I've got a reason to post on Adam Scott's ass when just yesterday I'd made that above gif of Adam's Scott's ass (from the movie The Vicious Kind) with the intention of posting it when I wasn't swamped with Trousers duties. I'm still swamped with the Trousers but this is too good to pass up. Here's Adam Scott on the topic of Channing Tatum in an interview with Details (via my similarly-minded pal Jarett):

"That guy looks like he was sculpted out of ivory. If they made casts of asses to sell at adult stores for people to have sex with, they would use his ass."

While I cannot disparage the merits of Channing Tatum's arse, Adam Scott, for being such a teensy tiny little person, has got a wonderful one himself and has no need to be deflecting ass-praise to anybody else. I would use your ass, Adam. (Good god, the things I write sometimes.) Anyway see a bunch of caps of Adam Scott's ivory ass after the jump.

Quote of the Day

.

If for no other reason then he says the words "butt cheek(s)" twice therein and thereby  reminds us of his own amply displayed pair, here's Joe Manganiello in a new interview with Out magazine explaining his oh-so-thespianish beefcakery on True Blood:

"As far as the butt cheek stuff goes, it just makes sense. It’s not gratuitous; it’s realistic. If you’re a werewolf and you transform, you lose everything and there are your butt cheeks. The show is a deconstruction of supernatural creatures. It’s not like other werewolf projects, where you magically reappear with tiny jean shorts on.”

Ooh, somebody wants to wrestle Taylor Lautner for werewolf dominance! And everybody wants to watch that. Anyway there are a couple more pics of the Big Man at that link. Plus we learn that at some point he'll be painted gold in Magic Mike. And I have to give props to Steven Soderbergh for making me laugh by saying this about that film:

"It’s kind of a buddy movie. We wanted the feel of Saturday Night Fever, but without the rape scene in the backseat."

Today's Fanboy Delusion

Today I'd rather be...

Photobucket

... bustin' moves with Channing Tatum.

Photobucket

So how about that episode of Saturday Night Live, huh? That was a lot, a blessed lot, of Channing to take in, wasn't it? Ya know, as much as I loved all the stripping he did - bless him for being such a good sport and knowing what we want nay need while he's up there - my favorite shot was right at the start when he came out onto the stage and they showed him in those pants with suspenders from the back:

That is where it's at. Not that I minded the rest, of course!
Hit the jump for some a bunch more.
